Refreshers 2023 is nearly here!

9th January 2023

Winter break is over, exams are underway and that means its nearly time for Spring term! Your Students Union likes to kick it off with Refreshers Week, and make it a good start to the term for all involved. There’ll be plenty of events and things on to help get you back in the swing of things, including Refreshers Fair, and some events brought to you by the Buddy Scheme! You can find a list of every event [here] on the Students’ Union website, but I’ll go over the Buddy Scheme ones below:

Midweek Mingle

The first Midweek Mingle of the year! Have a break from your assessments and studying with some free hot drinks and snacks, board games to play, colouring to do and plenty of chill vibes. Everyone is welcome, not just those signed up to Buddy Scheme, so please do invite your friends 🙂

Think Freshers’ Fair but mini. Come along and find out about your Students’ Union, whats on offer, chat to student societies, soak in the atmosphere.

Quickfire round to get to know other Undergrads! Speed friends, or speed mates, is a popular way to meet a lot of new people all in one go. Come along for a great networking opportunity, with questions to help jump start your conversations, time to chat, then it’s time to switch to the next person! All undergrads are welcome, so spread the word!

Don’t forget we’re always looking for new Volunteers and if you feel like you no longer need the support of your Buddy you can pay it back by volunteering with us!
