It’s Matching Day for the Buddy Scheme!

Hi everyone and welcome to the Buddy Scheme website. If you’re reading this chances are you’ve either signed up to the Buddy Scheme as one of our wonderful Buddy Scheme Volunteers or as someone looking for a new friends, or indeed are thinking about joining us and finding out what Buddy Scheme is all about!

Well, there’s some great news for today that we’ll be starting to match from today as it’s A level results day and everyone will be confirming their places at the University of Sussex. Congratulations and welcome to all new students, and we’re looking forward to seeing you at Sussex when term begins.

Just to be absolutely clear as well, any current student at Sussex can sign up to Buddy Scheme at any point in their journey through University life. We appreciate Volunteers signing up throughout the year as this means we always have people to match with those that need it. And if you find yourself lonely or uncertain, or in need of a friend, you can sign up any time from now until March to be matched with one of our Volunteers through all manner of matching preferences. They can be the friends you need and answer your questions, you don’t need to be a new student!
