What a success! We had a jam-packed week of Buddy Scheme events and we wanted to say a huge thank you to everyone who came along and made it the fun week it was. 

We had two successful Buddy Meetups where so many new students met their buddies for the first time! Our very first Speed Mates event was also a lot of fun, where students were able to chat to so many other potential friends in a short space of time, and it was fantastic to see so many of you stayed after the event at Northfield bar with your new found friends!

The Big Welcome Vintage Tea Party was filled all things you’d expect to find at a traditional British afternoon tea, from cupcakes to scones and sandwiches. A massive thank you to the 150 people who came to help us eat everything! There was table-tennis and giant chess, and a wonderful atmosphere of so many friendships being made as new students and old came to meet their buddies and enjoy the numerous cakes! Keep an eye on Facebook page and Instagram for the upcoming photos from the tea party and please tag yourself! 

We are pleased to have so many new Postgraduate members of the Buddy Scheme, and our Postgraduate events in collaboration with Benjamin Matthews (Postgraduate Officer) were a roaring success. From the first of our weekly Network coffee meetups on Monday, to the Postgrad Cocktail Night at Northfield bar on Saturday we had so many Masters’ and PhD Students join us. The amount of Postgrads who came along really showed us how big the demand is for Postgraduates only spaces and we are so excited for many more upcoming events and activities.
